About Brač
Brač is the gateway to Dalmatia. For centuries, people have been drawn to Brac for its natural harbors, its stone work, its spectacular bays, its clear, clean water and its weather (they say the best in all the Adriatic).
The Island of Brac is the longest and most elevated island in central Dalmatia, 48km long and 14 km wide. Tranquil coves, stunning sea and island views, traditional villages clinging to steep valley sides and bustling fishing harbours (like Supetar, Milna or Sumartin) make Brac the quintessential Dalmatian island, and the third largest of Croatia’s Adriatic islands. It’s easily reachable by ferry from Split or Makarska in 45 minutes and is a great place to spend a family holiday or partake in a few water sports!
About Supetar
Situated on a horse-shoe shaped cove, Supetar fascinates with its tame simplicity. Everything here is close at hand and made to measure: restaurants, shops, banks, post offices, market, cinema, library, health care services, various sports facilities... Your stay here will be made even more interesting by the free concerts, theatrical shows, folklore festivals and numerous other events which are organized as part of the Supetar Summer of Culture.
Being very well-connected with Split through a direct ferry line (more than 14 trips daily during summer), Supetar is an ideal destination for all those who are looking to benefit from the rich monumental heritage and natural beauties of Central Dalmatia mainland (Diocletian's Palace, Trogir, Salona, Klis, Vranjaca Cave, Cetina Canyon, Krka Falls, Šibenik Cathedral...), enjoying at the same time the charms of a small island town.
Let's not forget to mention the numerous opportunities for walks and excursions on the island: Blaca desert, Vidova Gora, Zlatni Rat, Museum of Brac in Škrip, stonemasonry school in Pucišca... Every place on the island of Brac has its own beauty and appeal!
